Our collection of courses for the orientation training of Arkansas Assisted Living Facility (Level II) Direct Care Staff is designed to meet the requirements in Section 504.4 - 504.6 of Arkansas’ Rules for Assisted Living Facilities Level II.
This collection contains 17 courses, totalling 18.5 hours of training, including 4 hours of dementia-specific training, and covers a number of topics required by Arkansas state regulations including, the role of personal care staff, emergency response, the reporting of elder abuse, incident reporting, food safety, resident health, the philosophy of independent living, patients’ rights, medication assistance, an overview of HIV/AIDS, universal precautions, communication, and a review of the aging process. Additionally, four hours of dementia care training include an introduction to dementia care, person centered dementia care, assisting older adults with dementia with bathing and personal care, and a course on managing challenging behaviors in dementia.
